POFC is dedicated to produce high quality optical fibers and cables to enable the migration trend of fiber optics replacing copper wires. POFC has been devoted for years to solve the mechanical strength problems of the traditional optical cable in deployment from outdoor to indoor, and we are proudly to announce a new product line of “Fiber-in-the-Box” using BendSafe™ fiber to fulfill the needs of FTTx, cloud computing, IT, CE, surveillance and P2P applications. The innovative boxed cable leads to a new milestone of indoor optical cable deployment, which allows optical cable to be used as easily as copper wires in the field. It then brings the benefits of completion the indoor deployment with the power lines and telephone wires all at one time.
Robert Chiang, President of POFC, emphasized: The core value of BendSafe™ Boxed Cable is to make it robust enough to be used as copper wire and can be installed in a DIY way. The innovative Fiber-in-the-Box package paved the way to the realization of all optical networks. Because the superior cost performance of POFC’s boxed cable, it helps fiber cable go to indoor easily, and can satisfy various needs from FTTx, digital home, surveillance, and point-to-point applications. Further more, POFC’s fiber has been qualified and used by Intel’s Light Peak technology. This means POFC got a ticket to penetrate into Fiber to the Desk last CM market.
POFC showcased Fiber-in-the-Box during Taiwan BroadBand Exhibition during Oct. 11-14, 2010. There were few hundreds of visitor coming from 34 countries to our booth and expressed interests in the boxed cable.
